He has overall responsibility in driving the business forward, in performance management, product strategy and portfolio selection. With over 20 year’s commercial experience in the IT industry and a background in large IT system management, he has a wealth of experience to address the business issues impacting organisations in today’s business climate.
One of his key strengths is being able to being able to see issues from both a business and technical perspective, and being able to communicate these issues clearly to both managers and technicians. He does not believe in re-inventing the wheel and believes that IT can be managed in a structured way. He has a great focus in ensuring that all of the projects for customers have a clearly defined benefit, and that the company focuses on delivering the best value for money overall.
Prior to this position he was Chief Technical Officer at one of Australia’s 10th largest Internet Service Providers (Eftel: ASX: EFT). He also served on the Board of Eftel as an Executive Director.
He holds Postgraduate qualifications including the Australian Computer Society Postgrad Certification Programme (completed specialising in Project Management), and a Graduate Diploma in Management (IT Management). He has also completed formal ITIL v3 certifications, and a number of Microsoft Vendor certifications.
He is a great believer in work / life balance (having taken a Sabbatical year off in 2008). In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, and spending time on equestrian activities including dressage and show jumping.
